George The Second
This is our Daimler State Landaulette in black and ivory with black leather trim. Seats 6/7 in comfort and great style - feel like the Queen for the day!
This beautiful car is a 420G Daimler which is the same model as used by our own Royal Family and many other heads of state. This particular example was converted some years ago to State Landaulette configuration which means that the rear half of the roof can be lowered to allow the world to gaze in wonder at the occupants! The seating capacity is seven so it is very useful for carrying bridesmaids and guests. Under the skin it has a Jaguar 4.2 litre engine with automatic gearbox which makes for a great ride but the fuel consumption is ruinous because of the two tons of vehicle it has to pull along. People often ask 'why George the Second?' - really quite simple because we had to sell George the First in order to buy this one.
