1961 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II. Body work in gleaming black with cream leather interior. Original owner was Douglas Fairbanks Junior, so many rich and famous people would have been carried in this car. Seats 3/4.
This car is a 1962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud ll which has the six and a quarter litre V8 engine and automatic gearbox. The body is to original specification in black with cream leather upholstery - the body was extensively restored a few years ago and is in excellent condition. We had owned the car for about 10 years before we found out that the first owner was none other than Douglas Fairbanks Junior who was a great Anglophile, a world-famous actor and friend to the rich and famous including our present Royal Family. It is a matter for one's imagination to think about who this car has carried during it's career.
A slightly creepy true story is that Douglas lived at 28, The Boltons, Chelsea when he owned the car and the same year we found out about his ownership we did two weddings in St Marys The Boltons - we had never done one there before and we have never done one since !
We have owned this car since 1994.
