Walter

This superb 1952 Bentley 41/2 litre has black and ivory coach-work with beige leather interior and large sun-roof. Seats 3/4

Walter is one of our three Mk V1 'standard steel' Bentleys, called that to differentiate them from the coach-built cars which normally had aluminium bodies rather than steel. The MkV1 was the first complete car that Rolls-Royce ever produced in 1946 - prior to that you could only buy a chassis and have your own bodywork put on it by your favourite coach-builder. They are quite luxuriously fitted out with a large sunroof, leather upholstery of course, rather nice little vanity units in the rear quarters , picnic tables and matching wood veneers.

The engine is a six cylinder four and a quarter or four and a half litre overhead inlet and side exhaust valve layout which is very quiet and the gearbox is manual right hand change. The engine will propel the car to over 100 miles per hour but this is not recommended on a wedding!

We have owned this car since 2005.
